Objective: The aim is to enhance disaster awareness, instill a culture of collaboration among university students within the Balkan Cities Cooperation Platform, and promote development through competition in the search and rescue field.
Participation Criteria:
For Participants:
- To be a university student
- Not to have any health condition preventing participation in the competition
- To sign the participant commitment
Team Formation:
University-based groups will form teams with 5-10 participants and 1 team leader.
Application Procedure and Venue:
Each university can participate with 1 team.
Teams consisting of 5-10 members will be formed from Balkan countries (Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Slovenia, Albania, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, and Gagauzia Autonomous Region).
Competition Format and Venue:
The competition will be organized as "Search and Rescue Competition" among Universities with the participation of the Balkan Cities Cooperation Platform.
The Balkan Cities Cooperation Platform Championship will take place at Gökçetepe Nature Park in Keşan district of Edirne.
Transportation, accommodation, and meal expenses for the "Search and Rescue Competition" among Universities within the Balkan Cities Cooperation Platform will be covered by the Balkan Cities Cooperation Platform (Türkiye).

Awards for the Balkan Cities Cooperation Platform Championship results:
- Each of the 15 members of the winning team will receive a tent, sleeping bag, mat, backpack, camping stove, and mess kit.
- Each of the 15 members of the second-place team will receive a tent, sleeping bag, mat, and backpack.
- Each of the 15 members of the third-place team will receive a tent, sleeping bag, and mat.
